The show explored my time spent living in different countries, growing up and now as an adult. From the place, people, and culture where I grew up and how that produced a longing for the things I miss on a daily basis. I attempted to phrase the illustrations in such a way that it is not overly specific to my personal experience i.e. a portrait of my mother, but rather more abstractly, i.e. my mother’s laugh.
