The atrium at the entrance of the Seashore Cabaret was converted to a mini cafe for those busy days by the shore. Serving Coffee, Gelato, & Donuts to go. To aid in communicating this new change we went to the obvious extreme and created this window signage inspired by vintage coney island/boardwalk carnival signage. I also had a lot of fun making accompanying animated versions for social media.
A few signs for some of the items they have for sale inside the atrium cafe were also needed and I was all too happy to continue the design through here.
With the opening of a new atrium donut, ice cream, and coffee spot at the Seashore Cabaret Matt wanted to develop a brand for the donut aspect. Inspired by good old fashioned americana donut culture, Lucky Boy Donuts arose!
Originally Matt wanted the name to be “Happy Boy Donuts”, but as we talked to more people who knew him and the venture the name was changed to “Lucky Boy Donuts”. One of Matt’s long standing nicknames is Lucky lad, so it felt right to make a little wink to that.
